… was the mindset that I took out with me to Deer Valley, UT this week. Acctually more of an extention off of a quote from Evel Kinevel that I had heard earlier in the week, “You’ve always got some one with you.” I had panned on some 4th of July BBQ and usual fireworks, OHVs (off highway vehicles) etc… but that was not to be. I was called out on short notice to leave for Deer Valley a day early which happened to be our nations independence day. I must say that I was pretty bummed the whole way out. Wyoming is long enough when you aren’t alone. Although one redeeming factor was that my route changed also to include the large fireworks stands scattered across Wyoming. My new plan: SOLO FIREWORKS PHOTO CONTEST. And I won!
So I stopped off for some good fireworks. It was the usual suspects artillery shells, black cats, bottle rockets, and some not so glamorous sparklers and strobes. These were to be my midnight inspiration in the Wyoming desert. Upon dusk I took a decent detour off of I-80 to ensure that my shenanigans would go un-noticed. After a short hike away from the truck I was ready to blow stuff up. Here are the contest winners. all shots used NO flashes.

and this guy MUST have been running maxxis tires, look at that dent and no flat
